Fresh Energy Project Mission
Align/combine/integrate (sub) urban and rural environmental restoration/
revitalization projects and sustainable redevelopment (policy) planning
with emerging renewable (alternative) power/transportation systems and
technologies.
Goals
- Provide public education and vocational training programs to communities
including federal, state, county and municipal government.
- Identify/prioritize the various public/private ‘Brown fields’
and their (regulatory) obstacles to remediation, closure and redevelopment.
- Disseminate/promote sustainable building concepts utilizing conservation,
efficiency and renewable electric technologies such as solar PV/thermal,
solar hydrogen fuel cells and wind.
- Work closely with local government and community-based resources
to optimize planning, coordination, funding and closure to insure project
success.
Objectives
- To involve community businesses and leaders in public outreach activities.
- To create local synergy among existing organizations having similar
missions.
- To increase community and business awareness, buy-in and involvement
with these local projects.
- To design, develop and demonstrate emerging renewable energy technologies
as they apply to distributed power generation and transportation.
